First Day In The Fourth Grade! 270 days to go!

This morning was CRAZY! I was suppose to be at North Columbus at 7:30; left in plenty of time but there were parents everywhere! I eventually showed up right before 8:00. I'm standing in the hall way greeting all of the kids and parents as they walk them to class. It amazes me how much we depend on our cell phones to capture important moments. Some parents just took there picture and they were off others gathered around and made a little video, and of course there was that one parent that decided they needed to facetime. The first day of school is so exciting but so hectic. But I can't wait until this time next year it is me and only me introducing myself and going over rules and procedures in my OWN classroom. I do know that getting everything organized and put together makes you not want to be a teacher. I soon learned today that it was all going to be worth it. The first day was great, can't wait to see what the rest of the year holds in this amazing experience!

Funny for the day!
One of the kids walks into the classroom stands there book bag and supplies in hand. Drops his supplies in his hands and yells out to a quite class "Guess what day it is! Guess!" "Its Hump Day!!!" "WHOOP WHOOP"! Found the class clown!

276 Days to Go!

I wanted to start this blog to document my feelings and events that happen during this important learning time in my life. Some feelings might be quite entertaining!

The summer has finally come to an end! This has been a rough summer that has taught me life long lessons. I have been assigned to teach math and science for the entire year at North Columbus in 4th grade! If any of you know me well you will know math is not my thing. Knowing this makes me nervous. Today was the first day back for teachers; making it the first day beck for me as well. I am very excited to get this year started. I met tons of parents tonight and a lot of great kids that will be in my classes, 50 students so far(they switch classes)! I pray that each one of these kids sees me as a role model and sees God through me some way! I'm excited to jump into this year and see what God has in store for me. Girls we got this!!
